Investigators of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office are investigating two burglaries that occurred within hours of each other on December 16, 2009. The first incident was in the 5300 block of Columbine Street at approximately 6:30 p.m., and the second incident was in the 8500 block of Franklin Drive, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Detectives believe the same suspects committed both burglaries. No one was injured in either incident.
The suspects are described as three Hispanic males and one black male. The Hispanic males are “tall and skinny”, between 18-19 years-of-age. One of the Hispanic suspects had a pierced eyebrow and a clear retainer on his teeth. A second Hispanic suspect had his eyebrows partially shaved. The black male is in his early 20s, is approximately 6’ tall, and weighs between 250 and 300 pounds. All the males were wearing bandanas. In each burglary, the suspects displayed a handgun. There is no information pertaining to any vehicle being associated with these parties.
Because the suspects are entering through unlocked doors or knocking and waiting for homeowners to open the door prior to forcefully entering the residences, investigators are alerting the public to use extreme caution when answering their doors.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at (720)322-1313.
