On Monday, March 16, 2009, at about 4:30 p.m., Brighton police officers were dispatched to a report of a roll-over accident on southbound Highway 85 near the Bridge St. off-ramp. Upon arrival, officers found a white 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier on its roof in the area of N. Kuner Rd. and Brighton St. The 22-year-old driver of the Cavalier was the only person injured in the crash. He was extricated and transported by air ambulance to an area hospital.
The accident is currently being investigated as a Reckless Driving incident; charges are pending in the case.
