Woman Arrested in Attempted Homicide

A Brighton woman has been arrested following a stabbing at a Brighton residence.

Brighton police were dispatched to reports of a disturbance in progress at 115 Gaviota St, in Brighton, at approximately 11:19 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old Aurora man bleeding from a chest wound, and a bloody knife nearby. The victim was transported to an area hospital, and is expected to survive.

A female resident of the home, 22-year-old Bobbie Christina Michel, was arrested near the residence a short time later, and booked in to the Adams County Detention Facility on a charge of Criminal Attempt, Murder in the First Degree.
