Composite drawing of suspect in murder case of Sean May.
Denver Police released a composite sketch of the man they believe to be the suspect in the murder of Sean May, an Adams County prosecutor.
May was shot and killed on August 27th, 2008, as he returned to his northwest Denver home.
Police also released pictures of two men taken at a nearby 7-11 store. Investigators emphasize the two men are not suspects but say they may be possible witnesses. The suspect was seen running from the murder scene and may have passed by the 7-11. If so, police say the two men may not even be aware of the crime, but could have possible information.
Denver police say they have been working this case on a daily basis since the killing and have followed up on thousands of leads.
The case was featured November 28 on America's Most Wanted on Denver station FOX 31.
Sean May was 37 years old. He had been with the Adams County District Attorney's Office for seven years. He left behind his wife, Corin, who was pregnant with the couple's first child.
Police say the motive could be related to May's work as a prosecutor, but they are keeping an open mind and pursuing all tips and leads. There is a $125,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in the case.
Investigators ask anyone with any information to please call Crime Stoppers (720) 913-STOP (7867).
