Colorado state trooper arrested on DUI in Patrol Car

UPDATE: Colorado State Patrol trooper, DAVID DOLAN arrested in his patrol car on allegations he was drinking while on the job had a blood alcohol level of .194, a level more than double the .08 legal limit.

Colorado State Trooper David Dolan faces charges of DUI and prohibited use of weapons.

Douglas County sheriff's deputies pulled Dolan over near westbound C470 and Platte Canyon early on Monday morning in his Colorado State Patrol car.

Dolan was arrest and charged with DUI and prohibited use of weapons. The prohibited use of a weapon charge is related to Dolan carrying his service weapon.

Col. James Wolfinbarger, State Patrol chief, said he was "concerned and disturbed" about the arrest. Wolinbarger also thanked the public who call 911 during the incident.

Trooper Dolan has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
