By David Olinger The Denver PostAdams County commissioners asked state ethics officials Monday to investigate whether the county assessor, Gil Reyes, violated state laws by accepting sports tickets and lunch invitations from a company appealing to reduce its property taxes.
The commissioners acted in response to a Denver Post report that Reyes accepted gifts from a vice president of Majestic Realty Co., an industrial warehouse developer that won reductions totaling $23 million on the taxable values of its Adams County buildings. Full Story Click Here...
