Adams County Sheriff's Deputy David Morrow Fired...

Adams County Sheriff's Deputy David Morrow, 28 has been fired. Morrow was arrested and charged for assaulting a fifteen year-old that resulted breaking the juvenile's jaw.

Deputy Morrow responded to a call about a large disturbance at 8790 Welby Road in Adams County on June 12th. One juvenile was issued a summons and released to a responsible adult and another juvenile, who appeared highly intoxicated, was taken into custody and transported by ambulance to the hospital because parent information could not be obtained from the juvenile.

Due the juvenile’s verbally combative behavior, an ambulance crew member restrained the juvenile’s hands and feet for an assessment of injuries. No visible injuries were noted when the juvenile was placed in the ambulance.

Witnesses report that Morrow entered the ambulance to retrieve his handcuffs. Morrow was told he could exit though the back door, but insisted on exiting through the side door in front of the ambulance. As he passed the juvenile restrained on the ambulance gurney, Morrow struck the juvenile on the face with a closed fist. It was later determined by medical personnel that the juvenile sustained a broken jaw.

  2. An Adams County Sheriff's deputy who is facing criminal charges for allegedly breaking a teenager's jaw has been fired.

Patrol Deputy David Morrow, 28, who has been charged with child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury, second-degree assault and tampering with a witness, all felonies, was fired on Thursday, said Sgt. Terrance O'Neill, a sheriff's office spokesman.

  3. David Morrow submitted his resignation to Adams County on Monday July 25th.

Also, if David Morrow was fired last Thursday, Adams County is in violation of Colorado State law. He still has not received his final pay.

David Morrow was a worthless POS cop. I had an encounter with him in Dec 2010 where I witnessed him breaking several laws at once. I confronted him about it, and he tried to tell me to "mind my own business". This was only 6 months before he was caught breaking a juvenile's jaws. He ran a stop sign, didn't use his turn signal, was talking on the phone, didn't follow procedure by making contact with me and not giving me his card. He raised his voice to me and I told him that his conscience knew he was in the wrong, and therefore he was becoming verbally abusive towards me. The whole time, I remained calm, cool, and collected. I only stated facts, telling him that he needed to obey the laws he's enforcing. He then lied to me stating he was on his way to a call. His duty sergeant later confirmed that he was, in fact, NOT on his way to a call.

A worthless cop that deserved to be removed from the force. I hope he's busing tables somewhere, or doing some other dirt job. After my encounter, I just knew he was a bad cop. I was not surprised when I saw his picture in the news. GOOD RIDDANCE!
