Investigators believe two brothers, Aaron Castro, 29, of Commerce City and Alfonzo Castro, 30, of Denver bought collector comic books to launder money for a million-dollar meth operations.Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced that 41 suspects were indicted, with 19 suspected of violating the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act.
The suspects were operating out of houses in mostly the north metro area.
"They were working in the neighborhoods we all live in, and I'm happy they are out of there," said Adams County District Attorney Don Quick, who will head the prosecution of the defendants.
The North Metro Task Force led the investigation with an undisclosed number of undercover officers.
The quantities represent as much as 100,000 doses of the drug per month with an estimated street value of $2 million, said officers.
