The Commerce City Police Department has made an arrest in the hit and run accident that seriously injured 17-year-old Arron Hernandez on September 8, 2009. On Thursday, September 10, 2009, Commerce City Traffic Accident Investigators received information that led them to the suspect in this case.
Police positively identified the vehicle in unincorporated Adams County. At approximately 3:45 p.m., police arrested Annette Mascarenas, 44, of Adams County. She was transported to Commerce City Police Department for processing and is being held on charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and Careless Driving Resulting in Injury. The vehicle was impounded.
