Juan Carlos Lopez to be sentenced on December 13th

On July 28, 2009, Detectives from the Commerce City Police Department presented this case to the Adams County Districts Attorney’s Office. During that filing the Adams County Districts Attorney’s Office filed formal charges on 28 year old Juan Carlos Lopez for the murder of Dung Le who was shot to death on June 3, 2009, inside the Dollar Value Plus store he owned and operated in Commerce City.

Today, Juan Carlos Lopez entered a guilty plea to second-degree murder on November 5th. Lopez also is facing a first-degree murder charge for a case in Denver that happened shortly after the Commerce City killing.
