Your Help Needed to Catch Arsonist

Brighton police and the South Adams County Fire Protection District are looking for one person who may have set as many as three car fires since the first of the month south of Prairie View High School.

The fires – two in a wood pile and one in a freestanding gazebo – were at the same house near East 119th Avenue and Racine Court, according to South Adams Fire Marshal Ron LaPenna. All three happened between 11:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. The most recent was Oct. 6.

Police Chief Clint Blackhurst said all of the cases involved the same victim and the same house.

Anyone with information should call 303-659-4101, 303-655-2327 or 303-288-0835.
